Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 24th JULY 2026  |  Last Updated: 24th JULY 2026  |  Applies to: docastra.com

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of docastra.com (the "Platform") and the legal documentation, e-stamping, notarisation, and registration services offered on it (the "Services"), operated by AINEXTECH LLP, a limited liability partnership incorporated under the laws of India ("AINEXTECH LLP", "DocAstra", "we", "us", "our").

By accessing the Platform, placing an order, or availing any Service, you ("User", "Client", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.

1. Nature of Services

DocAstra provides drafting, verification, e-stamping, notarisation, and registration facilitation for legal documents including but not limited to rent/leave-license agreements, affidavits, sale deeds, power of attorney, gift deeds, wills, business and commercial agreements, and legal notices. DocAstra acts as a facilitator connecting Users with drafting professionals, e-stamping vendors, notaries, and sub-registrar processes; certain statutory functions (such as registration or notarisation) are performed by the relevant government authority or licensed professional, not by DocAstra itself.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to use the Services. Where a document requires the participation of a minor or a person otherwise not competent to contract, appropriate guardian consent and legal formalities must be followed as advised by our team.

3. Account and Information Accuracy

4. Fees and Payment

5. Turnaround Time

Typical drafting-to-delivery timelines are 24–48 hours for standard documents, subject to timely receipt of information/documents from the User, availability of government e-stamping/registration slots, and any verification steps (e-KYC, video, or doorstep biometric) required for the specific document type. Timelines for registration, sub-registrar appointments, and doorstep services may vary by city and are indicative, not guaranteed.

6. Verification Requirements

Certain documents legally require identity verification via e-KYC, Aadhaar e-sign, video verification, or in-person biometric verification at a sub-registrar office or doorstep appointment. Users agree to cooperate with such verification steps as a condition for completing the Service. Failure or refusal to complete required verification may result in the Service being suspended or cancelled without full refund (see Refund & Cancellation Policy).

7. User Responsibilities

8. Relationship with Nyayastra

DocAstra is part of the Nyayastra ecosystem. DocAstra handles drafting and execution of documents; it does not provide legal advice, representation, or dispute resolution. Where a matter drafted on DocAstra later requires legal advice or escalates into a dispute, DocAstra may, with your consent, refer you to Nyayastra, which operates under its own separate terms of engagement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AINEXTECH LLP's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Services shall not exceed the fees paid by the User for the specific document/Service giving rise to the claim. AINEXTECH LLP shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss arising from government processing delays, third-party vendor errors, or inaccurate information supplied by the User.

10. Disclaimer

While documents are drafted to match prevailing legal formats and reviewed by our legal team, DocAstra does not guarantee outcomes in any dispute, litigation, or third-party challenge relating to a document. Users are encouraged to seek independent legal counsel (including via Nyayastra) for matters requiring case-specific legal advice.

11. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation and refund terms are governed by our separate Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including templates, branding, text, and design elements (excluding the final personalised document delivered to a User) remains the property of AINEXTECH LLP and may not be reproduced or redistributed without written consent.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform for any User who violates these Terms, provides fraudulent information, or misuses the Services, without prejudice to any fees already accrued.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at [City, State], India.

15. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
